# Esoteric Christianity Esoteric Christianity is a form of Christianity rooted in Mysticism and secrecy. It features hidden traditions that require an initiation to learn or understand, often emphasizing spiritual transformation, symbolic interpretation of scripture, and direct experience of the divine. This is similar to [[Public/Christian Mysticism/Christian Mysticism|Christian Mysticism]], but is distinct, due to the hidden and initiatory nature of its teachings. Mysticism describes the practice, while Esoteric emphasizes the secrecy. Most of the examples below are a combination of both, as most forms of Esoteric Christianity are also mystical. Although largely an exoteric religion, [[Mormonism]] can be described as having esoteric elements. %% Begin Waypoint %% - **Martinism** - [[What is Martinism]] - **Organizations** - [[Élus Coëns]] - **People** - [[Jean-Baptiste Willermoz]] - [[Louis Claude de Saint-Martin]] - [[Martinez de Pasqually]] - **Rosicrucianism** - [[What is Rosicrucianism]] %% End Waypoint %%
